This has been day 3 of the new eating and exercising plan, so far so good.
The food turtle step has been to take the 'pulp' leftovers from the juicer in the morning and make a stock from them during the day, then make a new soup each night for dinner. Monday night we had Lentil Soup. Tuesday night a pureed Pinto Bean Soup. Wednesday night a Curried Cream (Coconut Milk) Carrot & Cauliflower (pureed) Soup.
I have no idea what soup is going to be before four in the afternoon. That is when I start looking around to see what we have and what looks good. This keeps me on my toes creatively and it is fun to figure out something good, new and interesting from what we have without shopping for a recipe.
The turtle step for movement was to walk 10 minutes at a brisk pace on the treadmill and stretch for 10 minutes each day. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it was more focused than I have been doing.
The treadmill got filled with boxes so I had to 'make do' and march in place while watching my shows on Hulu. It felt good to move and I was actual sore in my legs which surprised me. The stretching went well. I was again shocked and dismayed at how much flexibility I had lost since going to the gym, esp Curves. It feels good though to see that even in just three days it is increasing.
It feels good to be living deliberately again and not running on autopilot putting out the next fire.

Ok, here it is the first post on a new personal journey blog. I am going to keep track of my feelings and experiences as I try and move more, eat more whole natural foods, move towards a non-processed plant based diet.
Today, my movement turtle step is to just walk 10 min and stretch for 10 min. I am looking forward to both especially the stretching.
My food turtle step is making soup for dinner from the the stock I made from the 'leftovers' from the morning juicer.
